THE HAMPTONS
"Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous"
3 Days - 2 Nights
The sample itinerary
described below is approximately like the itinerary your group will be
following during your stay with WHITE STAR TOURS. However, the exact
times, days, and destinations may vary for your group.
Day 1 -
A morning
departure has you heading into Long Island, NY towards the famous
Hamptons Region. Arrive in Sag Harbor where accommodations have been
arranged for the group. After check-in, depart for the historic village
of Sag Harbor where dinner has been arranged at one of the most famous
restaurants in the area, then return to the Inn for a showing of a
famous Hamptons-based movie.
Day 2 - You will
feel as one of the "rich and famous" as breakfast is served to you in
bed this morning. Later, board your motorcoach for a tour of Sag Harbor,
which was one of the first ports of entry into the United States,
featuring the Old Customs House and the Whaling Museum. The entry to the
Museum is actually the jawbones of a whale, allowing you an
awe-inspiring prospective of the actual size of this aquatic mammal.
Also, you will see the Old Jail, Martha Stewart's favorite Antique Shop,
and many other historical sites. Visit Southampton for an exclusive
"Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" tour. This tour will take you past
the oceanfront mansions and homes of celebrities and influential
people. Continue to Easthampton for a visit. Don't be surprised if you
spot a celebrity walking around town, as this is where they live and
play. In the afternoon, board your motorcoach for a short ride to
Montauk Point, home of the Montauk Lighthouse, which was commissioned by
George Washington. For those who wish, you are welcome to travel to the
top of the lighthouse, which offers a fabulous 3-state view. Return to
your hotel to freshen up and relax before enjoying entertainment and
dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3 -
Rise and shine this morning and enjoy breakfast before boarding the
South Fork
Ferry for a 1 a minute ride to Shelter
Island to see this pristine island. On the north
side of the island,
another small ferry awaits the motorcoach to bring you to North
Fork. Upon
arrival at Palmer Vineyards you will enjoy a tour of the one of the
largest and most famous vineyards on Long Island. Tour the bottling
plant and visit the tasting room where you can sample a number of their
delicious wines. After the tour, board your motorcoach and travel to
nearby Stony Brook Village where you can browse through the unique shops
and enjoy lunch on your own before continuing to Old Westbury Gardens
and Phipps Estate. Here you will enjoy a tour of this beautiful mansion
and formal English gardens. Return to the inn to freshen up for dinner
at a local restaurant.
Day 4 - After an
early breakfast, check out and enjoy a visit to New York City before
departing for home. |
